EDMUNDS.COM VS KBB.COM

Major price differences! Shopping for a car I am seeing that a lot of people are still using KBB.Com. Have any of you tried explaining the difference to a seller to get the price to where it should be? If so, would you mind sharing some tips?

i often used carsdirect.com to get a general price from a dealer and then edmunds to see all the invoice pricing. Edmunds has the TMV (true market value) which supposedly compares all sales of that car in your area. For trade ins, I used autotrader.
