searched the forum but i can't seem to find a DIY for replacing the engine valve cover gasket?..any help would be appreciated..thank you

from what i undertsand its fairly simple, follow the DIY for coil packs and remove them, then look around you should see the same type of torx screws along the base of the valve cover....unscrew those, pull up on the valve cover and it should come off......peel off the olld gasket, put the new one one.....reinstall

Bentley manual is the best 100$ i've spent on my B7 so far :)
I should bring it to work some day and scan the sections people need as PDFs... (is that legal? lol)
But yeah it's a pretty straight forward job.

There is a DIY out there, I used it when I changed mine. Hardest part was that the old gasket had turned very brittle and was hard to remove. When you try to take it off be careful not to drop pieces down into the engine.
