I'm looking at these two systems but I'm not finding comparisions between them. In my case both would be mated up to a 034HFC on an Avant. The Flashpoint exahaust I'm looking at is resonated (non-Qtip). The two systems are both priced in the same ballpark and from what I have read both aren't very droney which is import b/c I'm on the highway a bunch.

I'm looking for the pluses and minuses of both systems from the owners of these systems. John at Stat was very helpful yesterday but now I'm turning to you guys. Heck I may be splitting hairs here.....if so tell me.

I'm concerned with sound (drone) and filament. I have searched a bunch and listened to sound clips....of course sound clips are tough and sound overall is subjective. I love a sleeper exhaust that opens up right before and at WOT...just a reference. I orginally was going the Milltek route but I'm thinking of saving some pennies.

Thanks for any help and user experiences.

if i remember the apr is a chambered exhaust, the flashpoint is a packed exhaust, so while the flashpoint may not be droney to start with, once the fiberglass packing gets burnt up your exhaust will become louder....how much? idk

with apr (billy boat) it features a chambered exhaust so while there will be a short break-in period when the exhaust first starts, the exhaust note is likely to stay the same throughout the whole thing. if it was me, personally, i would go with the billy boat, the APR/billyboat exhaust is reviewed as one of the quieter systems and being that you have an avant and they can become terribly noisey when drone happens, i would air towards the quieter exhaust

i have nothing against the flashpoint exhaust, the price is great, and the guys at strat pretty much let you customize it however your heart desires, but for the application you plan on running, quieter is going to be better for you, and thats the apr/billyboat exhaust

milltek is the quietest, but most pricey

I love my milltek. It was a bit quiet for my tastes at first (coupled with the hfc) but after a year or so, the sound is absolutely perfect. Quiet idle, but great sound under load.

I have the Billy boat exhaust which is the apr exhaust that doesn't have the apr name plate. I like it, mine is hooked up with a test pipe and I have absolutly no drone. The down fall Is it is super quiet but I had a friend drive my car past and it does sound pretty good, quietest of all I've heard

The packing on the Flashpoint has me concerned. Can anyone chime in that has a few thousand miles on a Flashpoint exhaust?

My Billy Boat drones a bit more than my Miltek did (I never noticed it with my Miltek) but is manageable. I had the AWE quad tip on for a month but that was a nightmare! 034 HFC on there too..

Please lets stick to BB and/or Flashpoint.....AWE drone has been discussed to death. Sorry guys its just that getting off topic is way easy on this board.
