Anyone know the flow of the S3 tfsi injectors vs stock?

Reason I'm asking is because I installed a S3 turbocharger in my a4 last weekend and I'll be changeing my injectors to s3 injectors as soon as I get a new tune. But do I also need to upgrade the HPFP or will changing only the injectors be enough to reach my goal of 300-320hp?

soooooooo you have an upgraded turbo?...while running a stock tune?...and not upgraded injectors?...and a stock HPFP?

You need HPFP if you are running bigger than stock turbo/injectors, you need bigger injectors if you are running bigger than stock turbo.
You need a tune if you are running any, some, or all of the above mentioned items.

The stock HPFP cant even keep up with a tuned car with exhaust mods with out cutting fuel. What do you think will happen when you add even more air with the bigger turbo?

HPFP is not required for a S3 turbo upgrade depending on the tune. Not having an upgraded HPFP does not change the peak HP you will reach but you will not reach as much torque in the mid range.

Go to GOAPR.com and look at the TTS ECU upgrade, I have found two graph showing the TTS ECU upgrade with and without APR HPFP. The only difference was lower midrange power without the HPFP.

Runing stock tune on S3 should not be a big issue because the K03 vs K04 is not dramatically different, the ECU will adapt as much as it can but you will of course not reach full potential because ecu will not request high boost value and A/R will be a little off.

should have gone with a GT28

I would also recommend looking at this thread. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/384996-B7-A4-s-with-Stage-3-Roll-Call

Wow I got som unexpected replys.
Yes I'm running an S3 turbo with custom 200 cell DP with stock injectors , hpfp and a stage 1 tune. This really is no problem The difference between K03 and K04 is so small that it's okey to run the K04 on a stage 1 tune.

May I ask why people can't just anwser my question without making a bunch of stupid replys that have nothing to do with my question?

Thaks JayPhil82 and airborne for some good replys!

I found a article on the transverse engine injectors vs S3 and they are 1080 CC and 1217 CC accordingly to that. That would be a 12,7% increase so in my mind that is 12,7% more power (with correct tune ofcourse).

So stock will push 260-270hp that times 1.127 is 293-304hp. Is this way of thinking correct or not?

I will probably upgrade the HPFP just to make sure I'll get the sufficient amount of fuel anyway but I had to ask.

I am not sure if it is correct but based on APR Dyno you can reach 320hp with S3 turbo, injectors and HPFP. Add an intercooler to get more repeatable HP and you will be set and even bring more HP to the equation. Ultimately you can add Water/Meth and appropriate tune to get around 350hp.

Your signature say you have a KMD HPFP why would you want to change it?

Would you mind telling me how much it costed you to get the S3 turbo manifold modified to fit your car? Is there a lot of metal to be removed?

Sorry that was my previous car =) Signature edited.
I have not yet upgraded the HPFP on this one...

I think I'll do a separate thread (DIY) about the install / modification of the S3 turbo as there seem that noone of those that have done this previously that want to talk about it.

But simply put the things needed to be modded:
- Downpipeflange
- trimming of one of the corners on the flange on the turbo that connects to the DP
- modifying oil and water pipes (bending or buying custom pipes) I managed to bend the stock ones.
- modifying flange of the bigger pipe between turbo and engine (vacuum) or buying S3 pipe
- DV relocation

THATS ALL!!!

custom turbo outlet also needed.

Waiting for your DIY... lol

Every post has been vague on what is really needed, and how much work it really takes (which is why I waiting for the RAI upgrade)... but if you say it's not that much work, I'll just pull the trigger on this..

Thank's for the usefull information. Do you know the part # of the S3 pipe you are talking about?
Where did you connected the DV relocation dump, generally it is on the turbo inlet pipe did you made a custom one?

I started a DIY a while ago, could you please post your info into that tread and I will updated the 1st post with the information you provide me!

I'm doing something very similar, the part number for the S3 charge pipe is 1K0145762BM. This pipe is then modified to connect to the SMIC intercooler.
