Hi everyone, I have 2008 audi a6. The owners manual says to use SAE 5w40 engine oil that is VW502.00 approved.
The only one I found was Castrol syntec 5w40 vw502.00 approved and it cost me 9 dollars a quart.

Does anyone know of any other brand that offers 5w40, vw502.00 approved that is cheaper that the castrol one.
or does anyone know where I can get the castrol one cheaper?

Or does anyone know of a place where I can get the oil change for a decent price (so I don't have to do it myself)?

I'm in Brooklyn NY.

Thanks

I usually use Lubro-Molly. You'd have to order it online I'm pretty sure. An oil change on this car of course depending on the oil and filter used should cost you around $100 if anything I would imagine a few dollars more.

Syntec is the best and Audi recommended. Mobil 1 makes it also, but their oil is getting cheaply made. There's some off brand stuff NAPA carries that is junk I heard. My opinion is stick with the best stuff and make your engine last that much longer since you took care of it
