Alrighty, folks. Here, finally, are the details for our caravan tour through the Sonoma and Napa Valleys on Sunday the 22nd.

We'll be starting the drive from Infineon Raceway (AKA: Sears Point) (http://www.infineonraceway.com/) at approximately 12 noon and ending at The Fremont Diner (http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-fremont-diner-sonoma) for some truly amazing down-home country-style grub at around 2 o'clock!

It won't be a crazy long drive, and certainly not balls-to-the-walls. I'm shooting for a well organized casual tour with lots of great backroad scenery. The points between point B and C have a lot of narrow twisties and elevation changes, meaning bikers love the roads too, so we need to stay alert and share the road.

Here are the key points along the way...

A: Infineon Raceway (Sears Point) - Meet at 12 noon, depart at 12:30 sharp!
- Head North up 121 to 116 (Arnold Drive)
B: Glen Ellen Inn, Glen Ellen
- Up to Trinity Road, East to Napa County
C: Oakville Grade & St Helena Highway (29)
- South through Yountville and Napa to the 121 again, then back West 121/12
D: The Fremont Diner - Arrive approximately 2PM for eatin' time!

Bring your 2-way radios if you have them!

3 friends and I are signed up for the R8 track teaser and we have a 9:10 AM start time Sunday. We should be done right around when you are getting ready to pull out, and may join you if we can.

Love some of the roads in that area, especially if you get off the main tourist routes and into the hills between Sonoma and Napa. Did a tour there years ago with the Fiat club, and one of the members who set it up is from that area. i wish i could remember the route we took, as there were some amazing roads with practically no one on them.

Sorry this took so long. It's been one of the last things on my to-do list. The basic route has been mapped out. It may change slightly depending upon how many cars participate in the drive and how many bikers are on the road this Sunday.

Adding the details in my first post now.

Heyyy if you want an awesome change in the route that wont be over-crowded or filled with cops, take Cavedale Rd. or Moon Mountain Rd. off of Highway12 all the way to Trinity Rd.. Take these roads instead of wrapping around the Sonoma Valley Regional Park

Just realized this was Sunday(I thought it was Sat) so I will be there. I can welcome you all to my home. :) Now I just need to decided if I want to meet up at Infineon or Oakville when you enter Napa.

anyone considered using WAZE smartphone app for keeping the caravan together?
http://www.waze.com/groups/about/

seems like a great idea (And can tell you where the cops are) but I haven't tried in a group yet.

I created group "AZ10" if anyone wants to join
