Old Member, needs advice!!

Hey guys, i was a member way back when, and stopped visiting because it hurt too much. LOL I sold my B5 A4 in 2005 and now its time for another Audi... Got rid of my Land Rover, and ready for another toy. I was thinking about this one... Any info on the mods? Reliable? What kind of power?? Any comments, or insight would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance!!

There is always the debate on buying a modded Audi because who knows how hard the previous owner smashed. =/

That's what stands out to me, if it wasn't modded, you figured it wasn't ragged on too much, and mainly used as a DD. With this list of mods you figured the car got pushed decently, but for the right price, it could be worth a chance.

The dealership says it was a "show winning" lol... making me think it was more for show than go... but you never know... I agree with you guys and thats what concerns me too... they are asking $15,899

"This show winning vehicle is in excellent condition..."

Also, i don't see how a dealership can sell this car... (smog?)

That car has been around here, can't remember the name.. he was on lorinser lm-6's too... or at least reps of them.. I remember him having some front end damage, but nothing major.

With that list of mods, outside of a BT or other turbo swap, you can't do much more "go". I could see adding a TP and a DP for the exhaust, and maybe w/m, but for the most part the car was modded well.

To me a dealership would mod a MT. This looks like it has been ragged. And the cam follower, cam and pump replacement means that shit was probably messed up badly at one point and needed replacing.

Read through the threads I posted, and the threads the old owner has posted. That will give you a real history check. And PM him if you have questions, he's not the one selling it anymore (I imagine) so he'd probably be happy to answer your questions

Thats pretty close to how mine sounds at idle and it was bone stock when I bought it. I test drove a couple other before I bought this one they all sounded like that.

The 2.0t at idle does sound a little different than most cars, I'd suggest you go to a dealership, and listen to one there to compare.

I do need to test drive others, because the car seemed to lag a bit.. (my A4 was a manual, so turbo lag was easy to get rid of) lol.... I need to feel the way a stock one drives. I doubt i will get this one, but it sure was fun to drive.
