I've got my flame suit on already...

I'd like your guys thoughts on autocrossing an '05 S4 cab that's autotragic

Has anyone done this?
How does the car perform with an auto tranny?
Keep the ESP on or off?
Is the Tip worth a crap or just go with the S setting?

I know this is LESS than idea but I would be running for fun only a few times this summer.

My real advice, skip the auto X and hit a real track... It's alot more challenging and fun.. At auto x events it always seems like I'm waiting.. At the track I drive 20-30 mins at a time 5 times in a day..

And run it both ways, to experiment you'll get a feal for it.. most cars do alot better W/O traction controls.. But, that depends on the setup..

Autocrosses are usually easier to get to than track days....however....nothing beats a track. Join the North American Audi Car Club. They put on a lot of track days and cooperate w/ the Mercedes and BMW car clubs for even more time......

Did my first auto cross a couple of weekends ago. The A4 worked great. A good time!!! Easier on the car than track days....
