I only have one key for my b6...this is no good as most of you may know.

Does anybody have a spot that they get keys cut for cheaper than the dealer or does anybody have a hookup at the dealer to get this accomplished? Ideally, I'd like to just buy the keys (b7 upgrade) and blank blades and transponder chips online and just pay somebody to cut the blade and program the transponder...

I'd like to know this to. I'd also like a valet key for my car as I never got one from the guy I bought it from.

Well I found a few places on the ebay uk site that does it by looking at a close-up pic of your key? Not sure how this is possible [confused]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Audi-Flip-Key-Blade-Cut-Your-Car-GUARANTEED-WORK-/130503627685?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e629f53a5#ht_803wt_1141

Looking for a place that can cut my gf's blank MKVI Jetta key. Our local VW dealer (Pasadena) couldn't do it, and the only other place we found so far charges $25.

Any suggestions? Preferably in the SGV...

Thanks!

ak47 if you found a place that will cut your key for 25 go for it. the people that i called where i live want 75 for both. the program is the hard part i got a 99.5 audi and still cant figure out how to do it.

Ok. I figure $25 for the few mins of labor is a bit much, since I already have the blank, but after some searching, there aren't too may places who do laser cuts. I can program it cuz I have a cable, so that's the easy part for me. I've coded someone's Audi remote before, but don't recall what year his car was.

I had to buy a blank key just the lower part old one broke and I used an older vcds with a cable I purchased from a guy on Craigslist worked fine for programming side following the right steps told my buddie in Washington about it and he said he found one also online for I think 100 bucks and mesed with his turbo Diesel jeta. It was fairly easy to program there's how to's on here.

I know Pacific German can reprogram keys because they have the latest factory tool. Give them a call. They are kind far from Pasadena but worth the drive.
