Hi everyone, I post the same thread in my regional area, Norcal, but I was thinking its a good idea to post it here aswell.
I drives a B7 A4quattro,
I'm planning to purchase a E46 M3 to learn driving a Manuel car. Is there any suggestion from you guys?
anyone here or have a friend who drives a E46 m3?
I saw a person selling his E46 M3 for 25-26k, here's his description of the car:

Car is super clean and probably one of the best condition M3's you will find. I'm the third owner and the car was a prior CPO straight from BMW. I work for an insurance company and have a company car which I'm allowed personal use of, so I barely drive the car. Usually I'll drive it every 2 weeks or so on the weekend for <50 miles just to charge up the battery. No joke, I've put about 2 full tanks of gas since July 2010. Always washed and waxed by me with a Porter Cable DA. Only OEM maintenance parts have been used. I have the title in hand and am ready to sell.

Details on the veh:

2002 6 SPD Carbon Black w/Black Leather Manual Seats (non-heated), Bi-Xenon, Navigation, CD Changer, Sunroof, Shadow trim, Garage door opener, Harmon Kardon. I have Manuals, service records, and 2 sets of Keys.
- 68,xxx miles
- Clean title, no accidents. Title in hand.
- I do not have a CARFAX report, but my company uses Autocheck.. I can easily get a copy of that report which is the same thing.
- All recalls and updates done at the dealer. Also had the recent Emissions recall taken care of and the ECU was reflashed by VF Engineering approx 2-3 months ago. Car passes smog NO PROBLEM.

Not a single dent on the vehicle. I had one dime sized ding and had a Paintless dent removal guy handle it about 6 months ago. The left quarter panel was egged a long time ago. There is no dent but a very very slight egg mark in the paint, which you probably wouldn't notice unless I told you. I didn't want to get it fixed since I didn't want to break the OEM paint.

As for the interior, super clean as well. The seat has the usual wrinkles, but far, far less than your typical M3. I'd say the seats are in similar condition to other M3s year 2005-2006.

Kelly Blue Book (I also checked NADA and it was around the same)

Condition
Excellent
$20,050
Good
$19,150
Fair
$17,650

All upgrades are TASTEFUL and only of the highest quality IMO. I did not skimp on quality whatsoever.

- VF Engineering Street Kit - on car for about 2 years and <10K miles. Dyno'd at 350WHP by VF Engineering. Car runs strong with no hiccups, and I honestly drive this thing like I'm 80 years old. Never redlined. It was all for the bling!
- BBS LM 19x8.5 and 19x10 w/ Falken FK452 tires (rears need replacing soon)
- Brembo 380mm 6pot Monoblock front kit and 345mm 4pot GT rear kit
- HKS Hiper Damper suspension (corner balanced by West End Alignment)
- H&R Sway bars
- Updated OEM 2003.5+ Taillights
- Rogue El Diablo Rear Section exhaust w/ Ti Tips
- B&M Short Shifter
- Re-wrapped Suede steering wheel (looks like oem ZCP)
- Vorsteiner V-CSL Double sided Carbon Trunk, Rear diffuser, and Front bumper
- UUC Ultimate Pedals
- Huper Optik 50% Ceramic Tint all around including windshield (Cost me $600!)
- LED Angel eyes
- Black Kidney grills
- I also have all the OEM parts except for the wheels

Car was serviced 3 weeks ago by South Bay Autohaus, I had Inspection II completed for the next owner. Driven less than 25 miles since then. Also flushed the supercharger oil as well. I had them check the subframe and everything is fine. The RTABs do not need replacing yet, but in case you do, I have a brand new gen 2 OEM set w/ Ground Control shims for you.

Any input would be great, please help me out.
Thankyou very much.

This seems a little weird to me. The KBB is at best $5k under what he wants for it. He is saying he never redlined it, yet he dyno'd it and has a suspension on it. It says only OEM parts are used, yet all of the upgrade parts are not OEM.

Personally I would never buy a car with a after-market suspension on it unless I really know the car and person who did it. A Shit suspension is an easy way to ruin the performance of a car. Maybe that's just me though

hey Silverbullets, thanks for your response. You've point out several inspiring and great point where I never thought of, good catch!! Thankyou very much! Now I felt it's funny that he said he dyno'd it but claim himself never relined it, with all these after market parts and said only OEM part were used lol.
Are you saying HKS Hiper Damper suspension isn't good for the m3?
Thankyou very much
