View Full Version : Well, I'm bummed (APR Tune)

Turns out my 2009 A6 ECU is not the same as 2010+... I could have sworn I asked about this in a thread a while back just to make sure. I dropped my car off for the tune, ECU was shipped, and then shipped back with no flash as the flash for my ECU is not yet developed. Now I get to take a nice cab ride to the shop and get a stock car. Talk about a bummer [=(]. I feel like a kid expecting a new bike for Christmas and instead getting a pair of socks.

I wish I had known this before having my car out of commission for 3 days right after getting a new exhaust! I could have been cruising around and at least listening to that [cool]

Bummer pal, I can only imagine but how odd that the ECU is different. You would think that if the HP and Torque are the same, then why mess with the ECU at all for two years. Possibly that means the ECU starting in 2010 will be the same for the new C7, which I suspect is what Stasis and APR might have known in advance.

I am scheduled for my Stasis ECU on April 11th with Audi of Mission Viejo. I should get it back by Friday and they will provide me a loaner which is great. Will post once all is done.

Well APR has offered me a great deal. I am blown away by the generosity of these guys. No wonder everyone has so much respect for APR.

My car will either be shipped down to Alabama or I will take a nice trip next weekend. [:D]

that's great news...kudos to apr...i just wish they'd do a tune for my 05 4.2...though my motor is pretty much identical to the b6/b7 s4, they have no tune for it. my only option is unitronic, and i'm not really too fond off them.
