Last year i got the reimbursement from Audi from the coil recall campaign since i replaced the coils well before the recall was even released, this weekend i went to smog my car and the smog tech asks for some recall code, i have no idea since i did the reimbursement rather than perform the recall service by the dealer, luckily there was a note in the smog program that said "click continue if the information is not available", and we proceed with the smog check... car passed with no problems. So i go to renew with DMV and they said they need a document from Audi regarding the recall. Today i call Audi and they have no idea what im talking about. Can anyone shed some light and point me in the direction i need to go to get this resolved...Thanks!!

Who did you call at Audi? The dealer or AOA?
AoA customer service is
(800) 822-2834

Called AoA and they are able to see that the recall has not been cleared, they pointed me to the Audi dealer, but when i call the dealer, the service advisor has no idea what im talking about

I had the same issue with my B7 just yesterday. The chick at the DMV said I could pay for the registration but I would have to get it repaired before I get my decals. Call the local Audi dealership and they got me in for this Monday for repairs.

how sad my S4 was under the coil pack recall, but I was able to smog and register the car even before performing the services.

That just means you'll have the problem on next year's registration renewal
