It's going to be a very entertaining season this year! I'm still cheering for Schumie- representing the old farts like me lol
I hope to see VAG (vw? porsche? audi?) in F1 in a couple of years- if or when the 4 cylinder/turbo configuration is adapted.

Ok now I just sound stupid but I actually have a pretty strong chance that I'll be running there in an LMPC car.

Yeah, used to be avid fan of Indy Car racing- and lost intereset after the IRL/Champ car separation..... Although was there 3 years ago (iirc) to watch the Audi's LMP1s...
I'm looking forward to Austin Texas for US grand prix...
mmaroney- good luck on your racing (career?)- keep us informed!

The open wheel scene has definitely started to rebound from the years of hurt Tony George put on it, but it will never be what it once was. Atleast for a long time.
A friend of mine growing up, Alexander Rossi, is proving to the world right now that an American still can fight he way to F1 without the twisted aid of Red Bull, as he's running in the GP2 Championship in Europe this year after doing well last year in GP3.
Unfortunately for the rest of us, NASCAR is where the money and sponsorship is, and where it will continue to be for a couple years to come.

I usually go to the Long Beach Grand Prix - but I go on Saturday. I have no interest in the Indy Cars, but the ALMS runs Saturday with much better action and cars.
Unfortunately there's no Audi's currently, but the GT class is great.
Also a big fan of F1 - amazing to see the pace of Red Bull. If Vettel gets a clean getaway today, he'll be untouchable.

Yeah, Im afraid that there's going to be a huge bunch up/entanglements at first turn- especially with the ''new'' Pirelli tires- it's gonna be good!!!
speaking of Vettel- anyone opened up the X1 racer from PS3-GT5?

I went to the Long Beach GP when I 1st moved out here. Had a blast, been too busy to go again. I thought Saturday was better too.
Later on during the F1 season, we should meet up for a beer and race viewing.

I'm not saying anything just how fast he was in qualifying was amazing. I actually haven't even watched the race yet.
