I've been back and forth between California and Australia several times now, and everyone I know that has a ute down there has a snorkel on the intake because of the dust.

I'm curious, do any of you do anything special on your Audis for it?

In payment for your advice, I offer this:

I guess that's a "no". You probably just smear Vegemite on the inside of your intake ducting.

nah, normally the snorkel is for 4wd's for out in the bush or up in the top end where rain and flooding always happens.. Snorkel helps us keep it moving.. And alot of the time u wont see many audi's in the outback.. more only in the cities.., however when i have gone through the centre of aust driving my audi, everyone was like WTF!!!

You wont need a snorkel... just a good filter. The dust doesnt seem to be that bad in the outback.. I took my car there. Just have to watch out for the Opal fuel :(
