Who can help me out with doing my throttle body adaptation/alignment on vag com? I live near downtown but can meet wherever. I'll make it worth your time for sure

Maybe try out SD Motorsports (http://sdmotorsports.com/) or PureMS (http://purems.com/index.php)

Pure motorsports will vag your car for free. I'm near SDSU and have 409.1 but Pure Motorsports is most likely your best bet. PM me if you want.

PureMS charges 80 bucks unless you provide them with all the code for what you want done. If they have to look it up, they'll charge you for it. If you give em everything they need, it's free.

You do it for free? There's a bunch of codes that I'm trying to toy with

I don't need to modify the adaptation channels (i don't think so anyway). I just need to know why the ECP ligh is on. I though it's like a "check engine" light, is it not? And I was under the impression the the VAG COM is like an OBDII scanner. I may have my facts wrong.

Yes, it is a scanner so it can look up any codes however the vag codes and ross-tech cable are more specific versus a regular obd2 scanner.

so I actually have never done it, but is it more complicated than just connecting it to my car and a laptop and seeing what codes come up? can i use it this weekend sometime?

sure, I have a laptop with the cable. It's easy to run the codes and takes less than 5 minutes from bootup.
