Hi All
Thought i'd share my latest mod, Anthracite carbon wrapped chrome grille surround & chrome boot trim. Here's some pics of my attempt at carbon wrapping, what do you think?

ehhh its ok. looks good but trunk trim is out of place, and grill is out of place with your color matched rings...color match your trunk trim and do the rings and you might have something going or just color match it all and your golden

Thanks for the input guys, the pics don't really do it justice, tried painting the grille trim, but didnt take long for it to get stone chipped grrr. Fusion what did you do to get my pics up (my first attempt at pics) dont know why it didnt work or me.

I would have much preerred to do the rings in carbon, but what a nightmare so fiddley lol, ive got a spare set of rings so i'm gonna have another go
not shabby. my grill got knocked by a shopping cart, so i should probably do this...

i like the trunk trim (something I want to get done in carbon), but the grill doesnt do it for me..it blends in way to much, maybe it's the color of the car?
I like the concept!

I looked at it from a fair distance today, im not 100% sure whether i should keep the grille surround wrapped, as you say it blends too much especially with the colour coded rings, im wondering if a black surround would go better grrrrr lol

Looks nice! Is it fabric or vinyl? Is it silvery? Oh, and your car is backwards mate.

that looks brilliant mate, great look with the silver cf instead of black! do you have a link to the stuff you used?
Looks great, you did a really good job and bringing it to the exterior was a great idea. Stand by for copycats...

Yep certainly was DIY. It is Vinyl Anthracite carbon wrap. The front grille took the longest due the curves and being smaller at the bottom than the top. Easier to do than I thought, just really a case of taking my time (probably a lot slower than most would be lol),I bought it on a roll 1m x 1.3m for £40 from a local Graphics Design place, absolute bargain.

This thread just inspired me to finish my trim. I did this a few months ago on my shifter surround area, debating whether or not to do the rest of the trim. I have beige interior so I wasn't sure how it would look.. but ef it i'm going for it!

I like the vinyl look better than the fabric. The fabric glue just didn't hold well enough to my liking, but the vinyl adhesive I'm sure holds much better. I want some of this stuff now.

Look's good mate, do you spray water under the vinyl and squeeze it out like decals and tint windows, or you just stick it one shoot deal trying not to make mistake?

Oh, and your car is backwards mate.
Maybe it is, but the RNS-E look's it was made for this side, the knob is closer. Maybe we are on the wrong side !!! (this is where i wake up screaming) ;)
