Yes i did search i couldnt find what i was looking for,
I dont know to much yet and im still learning so much, but i have a 1998 Audi 1.8t Fwd i was wondering if i had a k03 or a ko3s, i have the sport steering wheel and sport cloth but other than that i dont know much.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

yes, you have a K03.

I THINK K03s only came in certain '01's.

^yep.

01 and beyond has the K03s

...you do have an AEB, the strongest factory bottom end, as well as the best flowing intake and head.

None of the A4's have the K03's, the 2000 and 2001 just ended up with a updated K03. The only cars to get a true K03 Sport were the transverse cars. This is why they can make way more power then any of the K03 A4 1.8t's and are able to run well into the 12's on their stock K03.

As for the 1998 A4 1.8t, it had the pre updated K03.

thanks for clarifying. I knew the later cars had a better K03, i did not know it was not a true "s". I guess that explains the 10 (to 18)hp deficiency vs the transverse cars.
