I was at the audi dealership today and i was looking at the used b7's because my friend is thinking about buying one and i came across one that had the nav system but i noticed it also had a red DIS. I thought when you get the nav system it comes with a color DIS. can anyone clear this up for me? thanks.

not too sure but my first guess would be that they put the nav in after the fact...

thanks for the replies guys..i was thinking the same thing as well. just wanted to know if it was actually possible for the car to come like this from the factory.

just realized it also had bose premium sound..i dont know if the two packages had anything to do with each either but im really curious to know whether or not this can come like this from the factory. does anybody know?

Hard to say what "packages" came with what. I heard many times that Audi changed the contents of their packages every year. So premium package this year could be something different from the next but I'm not 100% sure as i don't have proper concrete info on this. Just rumors ;)

I have non-bose, non-navi, and non-color display, I got non-heating seats, non-xenon lights and a non-6mt/tiptronic transmission. Thank you.

OP: Because it was added after the fact doesn't make it any worse/better.. if done properly. The only thing you'll really miss out on is that color display by your gauges.
