H'okay, so... I was following the DIY for replacing my cam follower, and got to the step where I need to take off the relief valve on the HPFP. The directions state it should be 17mm. I look at it--no way it's 17mm. After trying a variety of wrenches and sockets (and almost rounding the darn thing), I've determined someone put some weird (I think 17/32") fitting on here! [eek]

I'm afraid I'm going to completely destroy it if I try to take it off, so does anyone on here know if/where I can pick up this little relief valve (on the top-right side of the pic)? Or do I need/should I pick up a new HPFP?

Any input is appreciative!

On the plus side, while I was in process, I did manage to get my BSH PCV Stage II in! [:D]

No need to buy a new pump,
You can get a new bleeder valve here:

I had the same issue a couple weeks ago, use a 13mm deep socket, I had the same problems getting mine off. 13mm socket coming at it from behind did the trick, it was very very tight though, I ended up rounding it some, so replaced it since I needed some other parts.

i used the box end of a wrench. 13mm got it off. i think if you use open end it could round it off.
