I've read a lot of info on here about delayed acceleration problems, as my 06 2.0T FWD seems to hesitate to accelerate after I apply the gas. Also, when i take my foot off of the brake without hitting the gas, the car seems to slowly move forward almost as if I was using a clutch/manual transmission. Along with that, the car seems to have a very rough idle. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to get rid of this stuttering and delayed acceleration?

I have read things about changing the N80 valve, in which I will be doing next week at some point, along with possibly the crank case valves to try and solve the rough idling issue. Are there any other suggestions of how to solve these problems? Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That is what happens when you have a BIG ASS TURBO... Turbo lag happens to the best of us..

Now seriously. Check the spark plugs? Any codes? Does it seem like a misfire? Then move to coil packs. Do you have a vagcom? Or know someone that does. See if you can dig up anymore information. Do you have a CEL?

Best,
Sean.

I was going to check those also. I had the codes ran when my CEL came on, and one of the codes was for cylinder misfire, but the priority level was 0. I'm going to have the coils checked just to make sure though.

Delayed acceleration could be an issue with your CVT.

Like the entire transmission should get checked out and I may need a new one? Or is there a specific part in regards to the CVT that should be checked?

Look through some of the CVT failure/issue threads.
