RNS-E upgrade?

I have a 08 A4 with the basic radio w/ in dash 6 cd changer and want to upgrade to the Nav unit. I don't mind losing the cd changer but am curious if my factory ipod hook up (glovebox) would be compatible if i switch to the nav, anyone have any experience with this?
