I have been trying to figure out the best place to tap a vacuum line to hook up a boost gauge, and I was wondering what some of you guys have done.
From what I've seen the cleanest might be to use a T-fitting to replace the capped-off hole at the end of the intake manifold as shown here:

But I don't really want to pay $20+shipping for that from a podi.
So I've thought about buying a T-fitting like they sell at ECSTuning (See here) (http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_A4-FWD-2.0T/Interior/Gauges/ES7575/), and put the cap on one end of the T-fitting. I would also prefer not to pay $18+ shipping for a a T-fitting. Does anyone have any idea what the dimensions are on that fitting and where I might find one for cheaper (doesn't need to be aluminum, it could be brass or even plastic).
Another option is to tap into a different line and use a T-fitting there. I have a T-fitting that came with my gauge, but don't know of any 3mm ID hoses that I can tap into. Does anyone know of any good suggestions?
