Drive a B5 A4 2001 1.8T Quattro.

Just bought some 18" LM Reps for the ride, tires will be here tomorrow and coils next week.

Its gonna be setup like this once it all gets here:
18X8.5F et35 no spacers, (yet) Federal 215/40/18
18X9.5R et38 no spacers. (yet) Federal 225/40/18
ST Coilovers

Mild Stretch roll and poke after its all said and done going as low as I can.

I do not like waiting on shipping :(

Got bored and stuck them on for giggles.

Gotta figure out what spacers I need for the right stance. I cannot find this setup anywhere for some reason.

There won't be a "mild stretch" with a 215/40/18 on an 8.5"

There was barely a stretch on the 18x8.5 mono's I had with 215/35/18. and please do not purchase "BBS" caps and put them on the fake wheels. but good idea and you may want to look into a panzer plate/get a new jack ;)

LMAO. Yea I usually put a "real jack" under it after the widow maker if Im getting under it. I tried getting Laser Viking's rims but they were sold before I could get to him in time. I guess after I get it as low as I want I will see what gap I have and order some spacers for them. Im still waiting on AMI to ship my coilovers. Tires came in today and I took em to get mounted today they sweat their ass off before finally getting the cheetah. Now it sits like a truck, thought about going muddin cuz thats what everyoneone does in K.Y. right?

Yea I was hoping these would stretch moar. LOL I have 25mm in rear so I raised it after the photo, Ive already screwed my paint up around the lip =(epic fail). Im going to put the 20mm in the rear to see if its good enough to roll and pull. If not Ill just have to take off the spacers and order thinner ones.

Your car looks great man. Very Clean and i love the wheels.

Im gonna take the front coils off and cut the bump stops in half.

Can you explain this process and what is it that your doing exactly? Also, does it apply to a shock/spring setup (like mine) as well as your coilovers?

Seerlah
03-21-2011, 10:08 AM
No need to take the coils off if cutting the bump stops. Just slip a little razor in there, and try to keep it as even cut as possible. Unless the gaps in between the coils is too small to fit your hand through.

Also, you can't roll the rear fender. There is nothing to roll. But they can be pulled. Rolling the fenders is basically just flattening the inside fender liner on the arc of the wheel well. The rears does not have this, but the fronts do. I have my fronts rolled.

fumundacheze
03-21-2011, 06:31 PM
Yea I noticed it's flat once the fender well is cut that's all I need to do. I have no rubbing issues with the front. Even after cutting the bump stops in half and dropped all the way. I'm just rubbing the plastic fender well in the back after dropping all the way. I'll take some pics tomorrow after I clean up the car. Tires are slinging mud onto my door. Lol. I am quite happy with it. Just bounces like a bitch still.

I just cut the bump stops up front. I'm pretty sure the rears dont have bump stops. They werent all the way down till the day I cut the fronts. So Bump stops are cut in half up front and all the way down, the rears are just all the way down no modifying.

And yes a panzer pan is coming my way. Found out it was the trans pan that busted. I couldn't get under the car too see. So I found out after they put it in the air. They just beat the pan back out and welded her back up.
