I have a 98.5 A4 and I have the Concert stereo w/ cass. up front and 6 disc changer out back....

Is the the bose system or will it say bose on the unit? I'm looking for the hidden EQ instructions specific to this system. I'll eventually upgrade to amps and speakers while retainging the stock HU but for now I just want a little better sound.

Can anyone help?

Brak, do you know if there is a "hidden" EQ seceret mod for this stereo?

if the headunit does not display BOSE when you turn it on, or your front speaker covers don't say BOSE on them, then your car is not equiped with the Bose speakers.

Easy way to tell, if you have speakers in the rear doors than you have bose, no speakers in rear doors, no bose

Ok, well, no bose for me. [mad] Does that mean that there is no Hidden EQ trick for my stereo? I've searched all over and can't find anything relevant.

hidden EQ is for 99.5 and up. Don't quote me on that though.

My system is definately Bose (headunit, speakers, amp, etc) and it says right on the casette player "Audi Concert" [cool]

to my knowledge, there is no hidden EQ feature for the Concert headunit (bose, or non-bose), just for the Symphony (2000-up) head units.

I am certain there isn't a hidden eq for my Concert radio in my '99. I tried EVERYTHING and searched everywhere. Nothing.[mad]

Ahhh crap! well, thanks for the help guys. To top it all off my cd changer has trouble reading cd's. I get the damned err1 or err3 all the time. Even on non-burned cd's.

Looks like I'll be upgrading soon.
