The only recent thing i did was earlier today I replaced my fuel filter....so driving home from work today, nice and calm, avoiding bumps and other crap on the road when out of nowhere I heard a loud knock/bang/boom, idk wtf to describe it as....sort of like hitting a rock at high speed, underneath the car and i even felt it. So at the nearest exit I pull over and immediately go to the passenger side and look at the filter to see maybe one of the lines snapped off or the filter hit something since thats where i did something............all clean, no drips.................I go to the front of the car with my flashlight and immediately notice something bent and lower than it obviously should be.....I take it slow on the way home, watching for any abnormal behavior of the car and notice none....pickup the car and this is my discovery....

I didn't see any leaks or anything like that. For those wondering, No i dont have any plastic pieces there or on the drivers side. They all got finished up and destroyed during the past few blizzards we had here.
From what I saw in the cold 20 degree dark night it's not a fuel line but it seems like if that line in particular is the handbrake or rear brake line? I'm leaning towards the latter. I'm not sure....Anybody know what this line is?
My theory is that there was something in the road big enough to cause this kind of damage but small or dark enough for me not to notice it. I have no idea what it could have been to be honest. I'm usually pretty good at avoiding objects on the road.
