so i have been searching and wondering if the oem s3 intercooler would fit on the b7? yes i know this might sound like a dumb question but ive searched and found no answer. Any info will be appreciated. it seems to be a very good intercooler for about $430. thanks for any help

just the core or the piping?

the core looks like this http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y113/rynmls/006.jpg and it resembles the AWE one pretty closely,

what would worry me is if the piping would work or if you go a custom piping route

the second thing that worries me is that the entry and exit points are pre-bent to face the engine, this is the make it or break feature of the this intercooler, if it is wide enough to clear the radiator and front piece of the bumper then i would say you have a shot.....but if it does then there is no way it would work

I think it's possible, but after spending $430 for the core and paying someone to fabricate the piping you will end up paying more than it's worth. You would very likely need to relocate your power steering cooler too since the intercooler will likely only fit behind the crash bar, if it's even thin enough.

If it were to fit and you custom fab'd some piping it would still be cheaper then a brand new awe intercooler....why dont you be the forums guinea pig :-D

wow, hold it guys this is getting outta hand!! i was just asking if it would work! now its at me being a guinea pig!!!? naa, its cool ill save up for some ER side mounts :D

its not out of the realm of possibility tho.....you could buy it, and line it up and see if its possible.....if it can pass the radiator then you have a shot if notreturn it
