Raido Reception

I don't get very good radio reception in very urban areas. All of the suddon the raido will just loose signal, sometimes until i have to re-select the same station over again. Does this "shark finn" notorious for not getting the best reception? Or should i take it in to audi

Well to me thats not acceptable that a 2000 Jeep wrangler will get FAR better radio reception than a "luxury" sedan

I've never had an issue. Do you have an aftermarket headunit? Sometimes installers don't remember to re-connect the antenna after install and reception turns to garbage.

The shark fin is for OEM nav and cell phone (when using the phone cradle located in the arm rest). The radio antenna in built into the rear window. Metallic tint will defiantly interfere with reception.

Radio reception is not great in our cars not to mention the RDS. I have been in other cars with RDS in the same area where my car is and the RDS info in my car is not always there and if it is its not as detailed as other cars. WTF!

I had symphony || and reception was flawless.. I upgraded to rns-e and reception is poor...

Stock symphony. I do however have tint on my rear window so maybe that is helping cause the problem

make sure in the rns-e settings that the radio station is set to distant and not local. Also if your havng problems there is a module i believe that is needed to be installed in order to get rid of the error code that comes up when you scan the rns-e. Check audiforums.us i remember reading it somewhere on there.
