So I think I'm juuuust about there for exterior of my car. I'm going for an understated performance, OEM+ look and think this may be it. I just put on the rear badge, and am not sure if I'll keep it. I think the only thing left is a modest window tint. Maybe an AZ sticker.

Then-Now:

Moar pics:
Adds since last pics: curpa, ecode xenons, clear side markers and wheel spacers. Oh, and I need to fix the front grill gap. Apparently didn't reinstall bumper correctly after doing the lights last weekend.

Possible look after tint.

For future generations who successfully search for various items, here's what I've got.

Started with 2008 base model (non-Sline) with S-line body. FWD. 6MT.

Lowered on Koni FSD/Eibach Pro springs:
Original height top wheel arch to ground: 27" all around
Lowered Sept 2010 on Eibach Pro: Front 25.75" Rear 25.5"
Height Feb 2011: Front 25.625" Rear 25.5"

OEM B8 Sport Package Wheels. 18X8, ET 47
These require hub centering rings, 57.1 to 66.56.
They initially fit with no clearance issues, but later discovered that with new brake pads, the thickness of new pads pushes the calipers out so that the wheels barely scrape the calipers. Looked like 3mm or 5mm would be minimum required for clearance. I've got 10mm front and 12.5mm rear shown in above piccs.

OEM European spec bi-xenon headlights

ECS clear front side markers/reflectors

S4 aluminum (ish) mirror covers. OEM VAG part, but aren't actual aluminum

Cupra lip. As seen a thousand times on the Zine

S-line Blackout grill with satin black filler plate and chrome strips

Thanks for looking!

Lookin good man! The only thing I personally would change is match the window trim with the grille, but other than that it looks really OEM+ like [up]

Thanks. Yeah, have been comtemplating blacking the window trim, or going back to chrome surround on grill. We'll see....

Thanks!

Looks good. I agree with the above should look into bmw shadow line and either match or black out the rear sidemarkers. Also having tinted a few cars now its never as dark as you think it will be. Dont go higher than 30 or you will likely be disappointed.

what did the xenons cost? $2,000 for headlights & install?

I want xenons, but at a point it's like. Why don't I just upgrade to a B7 S4 with the recaros, S-line front & xenons

Hehe. Errr, I feel a bit guilty to admit I was one of the lucky few that snagged the OEM ecode xenons from ECS during their holiday sale for..... $513 shipped for the pair! That didn't include bulbs, ballasts or Kufatec harenss. I got the bulbs from ebay for $50 shipped and the ballasts and harness from Jens/lowesta4 for $300 shipped.

Installed with the physical help of Miki/neverfollowrs4 and the insturctional help of Phil's DIY.

So all told, just under $900. Very, very lucky.

This has been easy to do for < $1000 for years now...still one of the best mods I have done...car felt cheap with halogens

OP: Looks great, I would get rid of the white side markers though...paint em or put tint on the OEM ones

OK, but it has to be soon. FWD - -> AWD is next! Ain't skerd!

Just kidding. I'm ready whenever you're ready to install your:

Sline front bumper
RS4 blackout grill
RS4 fog grills
Springs
RS4 rear sway
Front/rear pads/rotors
Something or anohter side skirts
Some kind of rear velance
3 spoke sport steering wheel + airbag and cover
BLQ's with custom white powder coated outer face and gunmetal insides
Carbon wrapped cabin trim
HID fogs
and.... wait for it..... the Holy Grail ... S-L.I.N.E T.R.U.N.K! whoop! whoop!

Feels like I'm missing something.

haha, yes. all of the above. i have most of the stuff and everything else on order. that s-line trunk is going to be a pain in the ass to find. i think i am going to just go with a carbon fiber trunk. and i don't think you are missing anything. good memory, sir.
