well tonight its about 21 degrees outside. the hfc and cold temps make me do evil things for boost. anyways. tonight, i stopped the car on a straight stretch of road. traction off. shifter into S. boost launched at 3200. car takes off shifts into second and it feels as if this is the SLOWEST shifting automatic ive ever driven. its literally a sequence like this. ((pardon my F&F noises) vrrooooOOOOMMMMMM, PISH ((diverter valve)), shift vvvvvROOOOOOOM... so on and so forth. it just seems that it shifts very slowly. the car is properly warmed up. im on the stage 1 93 apr setting. do you guys with tiptronic have this issue also with slow shifting?

It's a slow as fuck tranny. Can't fix it without a few dollars and taking the tranny out/apart.

I'm thinking it's not the slowest, just one of the slowest. :) I'd really like to know how much the shifts improve with the IPT valve body upgrade. Would it feel like a DSG perhaps? Having gone from a 2006 GTI DSG to my A4 was a big change a while back. Now I'm just used to it and let out "sighs" while driving my GFs steptronic 335xi...

I guess it's what I get for not getting a manual. Fml. I just could not get over the slow speeds. Like the car couldn't process doing multiple things at once. Like "Ok I'm getting to high rpms... Um I think Ill let out excess air out of the turbo to prevent that from blowing up. Wait ummmm.... I guess I'll shift now." That's what the programming has to be saying in the car. Except in German.

Try tiptronic mode. Maybe it will help, you have to sort of learn how it acts. I read some reviews about sprint booster thing giving better throttle response. Not sure if that would help. But i agree with you on the manual part. I regret it at times too :(
