Does anyone know the part number, or what kind of nut i need for the front bumper. Its for the one thats in the hard to reach place on the drive side. One of mine must have stripped or something last time i took off my bumper because it wouldnt go back on.

So i was just wondering if it was something i can pickup at a hardware store. Picture bellow pointing to the nuts im talking about.

With the odd washer attached to it? I went to the dealership with bolt in hand to show them and they had no idea. They even printed out a diagram to determine which part it was and they couldn’t figure it out. I suggest finding that nut or something similar else the bumper will not sit as flush. Hopefully someone can chime in because I am curious.

You can use a regular nut and washer or lock nut, either will work (with the same thread pitch).

You need to get the nut from the Dealer, I would not install anything else
If the screw is stripped, I would get that as well since they can be replaced. Nevertheless, to do so, you will have to remove the bumper

Thanks phil, I knew youd have the answer. I dont think thescrew is stripped as the othed nut was able to screw on fine to both screws. Atleast I hope its fine

Having removed quite few bumpers, this happened to me:
This picture shows the 2 nuts on the left fender. Make sure that the nut is not laying around by the red arrow

i didnt lose the nut, i have it, i dropped it many times in there trying but i always recover it. one of them is on fine, the other is in my garage cause im pretty sure its stripped. but how do you even get in there like that to take that picture. i can barely fit my hand in there. but i dont raise my car or take my wheels off when i do it. im sure your pro enough to do that now as well.

LOL, I don't raise the car either and takes me 10mn to remove the bumper.
Regarding the pictures, I have a small camera[:D]
Especially for the right side, due to the windsheild fluid reservoir, this tool is the best because with the sprig, it allows you to be off centered and perfectly install the nut
