from what I've read this is a pretty common problem. My rear lower door moldings have rotted and fell off. I think I want to just pull them off. How to do you remove those little plastic clips? Also of anyone can post some pictures of them removed it would be awesome.

One tiny screw on the lower right corner of each door. They slide back and straight off after you remove that one tiny screw.

When I shaved mine I had to cut off the metal stubs, grind down, then weld/fill... If you don't mind having studs or holes sticking out or doing body work then repaint the lower parts of the doors and blend in, I would just recommend buying some used ones from a wrecking yard or sourcing some online to replace yours.

yup, only way to get rid of the studs is to grind them off then weld up the lil holes.
i replaced mine with new ones and havent had any issue with them in close to 3 yrs now. the older ones were made of metal while the newer style ones are all plastic and dont rust.

Yeah I saw ECS had them. I just didn't know how/if the tabs came off. I was hoping they would come off easier and I could just rivet them. I'm about to order them now.

Unscrew the screw, if it break or jam,
Use a screw driver and pry it from under the door.
The metal insert will stay screwed to the door,
from there, use the pair of prier and a screwdriver.

Thanks FNK. But I'm looking for more on how to remove the plastic that holds them up. Do those ones need to be cut off

I didn't removed them as their design look like it's not made to be removed, never. You'll need to break them, most likely.
