Hey guys in trying to choose between these 2 bulbs for my halogen housing which ones do you think I should get, prob a dumb question but would I need to buy 2 for the low beams and 2 for the high beams. and i need the H7 bulb correct?

I know people are going to say go HID and i am in the near future this is just a temp upgrade.

OSRAM Night Breaker or Philips X-Treme Power

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate it

I will be nice. Go with Silver Star ultras. Never use HID's in a halogen headlight. Yes H7 is correct.

I know hid bulbs in halogen housing is a definite no because it is dangerous and I would never do that. I thought these lights both wear halogen lights?

Yes both choices are halogen, but my personal choice is the Silver Star ultra. If I have to decide between the two, they are really the same. I think silver star is the best choice.

x2 on the silverstar ultras there probably the nicest halogen bulbs for normal driving lights... I put them on my mom's 01 ml320 and there much better than the stock yellowish halogens...

I went with the PIAA Xtreme white bulbs. Just a classy, bright OE quality bulb without the yellow tint. I'd prefer a Xenon set-up but again, I'm still waiting for that someone to pull out in front of me.....convert me to s-line front end, I dare you!

As sad as it is I'm waiting for this as well. A cop came so close to pulling out in front of me but he stopped seconds before.

I'm hopping to get rear ended after said person pulls out in front of me too [up]

Thanks for all the suggestions im gonna do some more research ad see which is the whitest light i could find, the yellow is so ugly. I cant wait to just get the damn xenons. I want the oem audi ones but they're so expensive. i was thinking of checking junk yards or something.

The Phillips X-TREME power gives the most light output without upping watts.

I did a boatload of research on this myself.

K is color temperature, not lumens. There's a big diff.

I can't find the whole article but here's a clip from it:

as a man who plans ahead several steps, i say think about what you are goona get for your fogs too, what ever you get, phillips, HIDs, etc...leaving your fogs a dirtyoffwhite makes the mod look halfassed
