So I got my tax returns and decided that my S needed a friend, lol.

Actually, my wife needed a more economical car than the S for our small business and I was tired of competing with her on who got to drive what car because our pickup needs an oil refinery to get to the grocery store and the other car we have is hanging on by a thread.

Forgive the overexposeure, its overcast here today and I didnt feel like making adjustments :)

The car is a 2000 Avant 1.8TQM, 220k miles. Paid $3.5k. It has 20k on new timing belt, eibach springs, bilstein shocks, rear brakes, rear wheelbearings and new driver front halfshaft. It seems pretty well taken care of, but I am in the process of going through everything and making sure its all up to snuff.

Currently I am in the process of figuring out why the airbag light is on, I have a code for both front seat airbag igniters and Im hoping its just a connection issue. Ive already replaced the DV vac line and fpr vac line, they were disintegrating hehe.

Its a good little car:

Thanks guys!

Evidently the (silver) car was originally sold on the east coast and was bought by an older gentleman and brought here to central oregon, then was sold to a younger man and he and his mother (she is also old - nice lady though) traded the car back and forth for the past few years. The family here that owned it owned it since about 100k and the older gentleman who owned it before them had it meticulously maintaned. Its been gingerly driven and seems like mostly highway miles. It was a lucky find.

Nice pick up! The air bag problem could be a common resistance issue for the air bags. There are a few write ups on how to repair it. Good Luck
