This is getting to be a little too much now. All started a few months ago when my car clipped pretty bad at a city parking garage which had camera surveillance all over the place. City and Police refused to pull the tapes as it wasn't a priority so I had to eat the $500 deductible. Next a few weeks ago went to get some dinner with friends on a very busy strip full of pretty upscale lounges/restaurants/House of Blues...etc. My friend's GTI along with 3 other cars got broken into, windows shattered, car turned upside down. Caught the guy, still had to pay for all the damage himself. Today, I go to grab some food at again, a trendy upscale place in a decent area with a few friends. Come out, to see that 5 cars in a row in their own parking lot across the street got broken into until they caught the 2 people as they were trying to get inside mine. They kept prying around the window in a bunch of places completely fucking up the moulding/door seal. Then went to the bottom of the glass and tried prying there as their "tool" slipped tearing the rubber and gouging the door. Few more seconds and window would have shattered, then who know what. What a great way to end the night. [mad]

Anyone have part numbers by any chance for the rubber seal that goes around the whole passenger side door as well as the one on the bottom of the window?

People need to get jobs. You and I both work for our things, why can't they?!?!? Ugh, nothing makes me more angry. Sorry to hear about this!

2nd, don't you just hate how abused welfare and unemployment get abused, either way they still fuck around and destroy our stuff. Sorry to hear that about your car, i didn't know ohio was so bad. Only from what i have seen on first 48 :-)

Sorry to hear, I hate when people do not know what belongs to them and what doesn't.

I hope you have wheel locks on your LM's. Maybe you can invest in a VERY loud alarm system and don't leave anything of value in your car. I am surprised that security in this area would not be put on high alert after multiple break-ins have occurred. Well, those are my thoughts. I really hope you and your car do not have to deal with this bullshit anymore. You know I'm in love with your car, so this is painful to hear :(

I love first 48! Show rocks, one thing i learn is: I WANT A LAWYER LOL. Sorry to hear about your car, back in the day my civic got stolen and stripped to pieces so consider yourself lucky. One thing I hate the most is broken glass in a car, you can't never get it all out!

It's unfortunate, but could have turned out much much worse.

Definitely makes me think about investing in an alarm with proximity sensors. And wheel locks are going on the LMs for sure come spring.

That's an unfortunate mishap, considering the described location. If I may suggest an alarm without being judged or singled out by a certain someone, perhaps an alarm of this magnitude would ease your mind in the future: http://www.viper.com/P-5902V/Viper-5902-Responder-Hd-Color-Supercode-Sst-2-way-Security-And-Remote-Start-System

I personally have that application installed on my B7 and the features available are truly remarkable. It is definitely an alarm worth every last coin for one should not spare money towards security and peace of mind.
