View Full Version : Car shaking when speeding up

Ok so I've got a 01 1.8TQM and once I hit 30 mph the car starts shaking and as I go faster it gets worse, once I hit 60 its unbearable. It feels like a bent rim, but its just started happening today and yesterday it didn't happen at all so I'm not sure when the rim could have bent... Does anyone have any idea what this could be besides a bent rim?

Could be tire alignment, tie rods, or the bent rim.

You probably have snow around your wheels. It throws off the alignment go get a car wash you will be fine.

Like Turbo nerd said, it most likely is snow in and around the wheel, I had a similar situation earlier this week.

It will, if you got snow lunged up there a nice pressure wash will get rid of your problem. Happened to me a couple time this winter, shaking really bad then a nice car wash fixed it. Good luck.

I keep a breaker bar on my passenger seat for pushing the snow out of my wheels. This happens to me on a daily basis. I guess I should stop drifting into piles of snow on purpose...
