View Full Version : One last wheel fitment question...

So I went with some 'Fat Five' wheels for my A4. They came off a 2006 Audi A8L.

Here's a pic of them;

However, they are obviously way too big to fit on my car right now. The tires on them are 255/45/18.

My question is, is that I have some BFGoodrich G-Force KDWs that are 235/40/18. Will they clear with these tires on them? I don't want to waste a bunch of money to get these tires dismounted and the other ones mounted if they aren't going to fit.

Also, am I going to have to do anything else? My fenders are already rolled, and I'm holding off on buying spacers until I see the fitment.

Thanks in advance,
John

So I put them on with 225/40/18 tires and all I can say is wow... I'm glad I didn't use the 235s. I literally have about a credit card gab between the rubber and the front control arms. The little rubber spike things that are on brand new tires were hitting it!

Anyways, here's how they look (apologies for the dirty car and crappy cell phone pictures);

Ofcourse it's getting slammed soon, don't worry about that ;P

And how big of wheel spacers am I going to need to make it flush? I was thinking maybe a 5 in front and 15 in back?

Thanks,
John

They look great. How much did you end up paying for 'em?

I regret not buying them now.

$400 for the wheels and tires, then I sold the tires on them (brand new) to my buddy who has an A8 for $200, then spent $400 buying tires and mounting and balancing them.

So in total, I spent $600. And the rims are in perfect condition. Now I just can't wait to slam the sucker...
