Seat airbags ??? Help ???

Just wondering if I remove the front seats will my car need to be VAG com'd ? Due to disconnecting the air bag connection ? I swapped my steering wheel & airbag and disconnected the battery before I did any work and when completed reconnected the battery and no warning lights came on and didn't need a re-code. Would this work when removing the seats ?? Thanks

make sure car is off
and dont turn it on till you have finshed
then no you wont get any warning lights

what bez101 is right. You really do not need to take the battery out but if you want to be safe about it you could disconnect the battery if you are that worried. Usually I don't disconnect battery but i make sure the key is out of the ignition.

bez101 is right, but take all the precautions u feel is necessary so you are comfortable with the airbag install

from being on the business end of and airbag and broken nose to show for it i can tell you that when they go off, properly or not, they do not tickle, and lye they use to keep moisture out will also ruin your day in addition to bruises you'll have for it

bottom-line, you dont want the airbag to deploy unless it has to
