so im at my work computer which doesn't let me open up the 'forthosewholiketodifferentwhenitcomestowheels' thread bc of how many pictures are there so im resulting to posting here so some help/guidance
can the wheel gods please post pictures of b7's that have 19x9.5's all around with various ET's
im looking into getting a set of wheels 19x9.5 but am willing to play around with spacers/different tires/stretch to get an ET that i comfortable with
if you personally are rocking the car you post can you tell me if you have rubbing issues, did you pull/roll fenders, whatever you had to do to make it work for you would be very helpful for me.
thanks in advance

the wheel thread is good an all...but its 240+ pages and most of the pics don't have specs....i would gladly search but i mean 240+ pages is going to take a better part of my day

oh I totally agree, thing is, people here will b**** and complain about you even asking and tell you to go search it, before they even consider giving you a straight answer.
I've tried searching that before, but the info that comes out is to generic, not enough specific, such at rubbing issues, camber, how far off the ground does the car sit, etc, etc... all your gonna find by searching is the size, width, and whether the tires are stretched or not...

umm generally they are pretty cool on here from what i've found....im just looking because i dont want to screw around with spacers and tires anymore then i have to, if i see a rim with the offset i like on a b7 i'll just try and aim for that ET + tire choice....i think this thread could be very helpful for the next person shopping for 19x9.5 they can get a good idea of what they have to do and what ET they should aim for

This is my setup.
Vellano VSO's
19x8.5+32 running 225/35 front
19x9.5+28 running 235/35 rear

I think this a nice setup, 9.5+28 all around would give you a nice poke. +35 would give you a good, flush look.

any fitment issues??

The wheels had 245/35 in the rear before, and I was rubbing on everything. Threw some stretch 235/35 on, and no issues at all.
Fits right up, no modification necessary. No spacers needed for rear specs. Running 5mm in the front.

very nice thank you, you have a great set up and this is exactly the response i was hoping to get maybe if we get enough responses i can change the thread title to
Unofficial 19x9.5 Fitment Guide
and it can help guide other people looking into going 19x9.5

ill try to get a better pic but my rear is a 19x9.5et43 (et32 after spacers)
its a 225/35 falken fk452
im running about -2 deg. of camber
the rim sits pretty much exactly flush with the fender
i rub when i hit dips but nothing serious...
except i do have a nice polished time attack stripe from the rim hitting the fender lol

my fender is fine (i have done nothing in regard to fender work by the way)
but the wheels are just missing a very thin line of paint all the way around the edge of the wheel lol
you cant even tell though unless you are like right up close to it...

ok people, just got off the phone with wheel dude, and i must say, kinda rude to begin with and secondly they did not answer my question completely so im relying on the b7 crowd once again to save my dumb ass
def going to go with the linea corse lemans (lm reps....i dont have real $ to toss around so these will do)
please keep your comments to my wheel choice to yourself as i am pretty set on these wheels
the big question that the wheel dude guy could not answer for me is will these wheels clear our big front calipers by themselves at a 35 offset
based on my research around this thread i have read numerous posts of people saying "certain lm reps will need spacers to clear the calipers" no one has directly said if they are talking about linea corse lemans
i told the sales rep at wheeldude that i have no problem running a 45 offset wheel with a 10 mm spacer to clear the brake caliper
he told me why dont i just run et 35 offset to begin with bc its the same thing
i said im running the spacer to clear the brake caliper not to be flush with the fender (although thats my intention as well but i need to have at least enough function to roll)
he told me that running a 10 mm spacer on et 45 is the exact same thing as running a 35 offset so the 35 offset would clear the caliper
i told him that i thought thats not the case as these wheels are flat faced and do not have concavity so that adding a spacer actually pushes the face of the wheel further from the caliper as well as the offset
now, based on my research i was pretty set on running the et 45 with a 10mm spacer to clear the brakes and be at 35 but after talking to this guy it sounds like a 35 would clear no matter what.....which brings me back to square one and i am completely lost and need the guidance of someone who really knows what they are talking about when it comes to wheels
i appreciate the help and i plan on ordering wheels on april 1st so i want to have all my ?'s answered for the most part by then
if anyone has or knows anyone who rocked the linecorse lemans on our cars please notify them to notify me and help me out

also do we have the same brakes as the b6 crowd? because if we do then i know the linea corse wheels will fit as i have seen b6's with them
nah, im pretty sure our brakes are bigger than b6s

B7 A4 brakes are bigger than B6 and the caliper is much larger.

We do not have the same brakes as the B6 crowd, as to the rest, I'm not sure.

ok so thanks for everyone for letting me know they are not the same, not the question is is a 45 offset with a 10mm spacer the same as an et 35 (which i know it is in terms of offset) but in term of brake caliper clearance is it the same thing?
chrislane31
03-22-2011, 05:42 AM
It is the same offset but caliper clearance due to the wheel depends all on the shape of the back of the wheel. Just because et35 fits one car does not mean that all et35 wheels will fit every car.

thanks, thats what i was trying to get across to the guy i spoke with on the phone but he was adamant and literally said "i will bet my entire company on the fact that a 45 offset with a 10mm spacer is the same as an et 35 with regards to brake clearance

also will running 9.5 up front require me to get adjust control arms?

These are 19x8.5 et48 with 20mm spacers on the rear, some very slight rubbing
The fronts do not have spacers and I had to shave a millimeter or two of the front brackets to make the
Fronts fit, can't fit my fingers between the tire and control arm.. Goodluck

I'm interested to find out about this as well. I want to run 9.5's all around, but I can only seem to find people running staggered 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. And I do believe you are right that an et35 provides less caliper clearance than an et45 with 10mm spacer. Obviously the outside lips would be in the same location for both, but the et45 with spacer has the additional 10mm for caliper clearance (I now understand this, thanks to your "For Those Who Wish To Be Knowledgeable..." thread)
