halogen housing?

after viewing countless posts on this website and google and what not i have found nothing helpful. i understand that if you have halogen housing and install a HID kit you need an e-code canceler. my question is how do i know if i have halogen housing. the dealership i bought my car from wasnt too helpful with information on what the car came with as i bought it used. its an 06 a4quattro 6mt...........any info is greatly appreciated

do you have projectors? if no, then you do not have hid/xenon.

Halogens... And do all of us a favor and do NOT!! Put HID's on them halogen housings... We already get blinded enough..

All joking aside, either return them or buy the proper housings. Don't take the ghetto route for the sake of making your car look better because it will NOT. It will just look like a cheap way to get attention. Please, do the modding community a favor and keep the mods honest and classy. We have enough ricers out there who are doing a perfectly adequate job of making themselves look bad.

or buy Bi-Xenon's , Which if you search the classifieds you can find some good deals.

PIAA bulbs are Halogen, so you don't need ballasts. For HIDs for your car, you would really need proper projector housings as JMG said above.

I haven't searched for aftermarket projector housings, so that could save you some cash. Definitely save money on the HID kit you already bought.
