Oil light help!?

so as I drove home today the low oil indicator beeped and came on. I stopped at the gas station and saw it need a quart of oil (last oil change around 2k). I went home put in a quart but the oil indicator is still on.... Any ideas what it might be?

Maybe it was 2 quarts low? Did you check the oil again?

Yeah I checked it after, it's at max which is why I'm confused lol
