well I installed the APR fuel pump today.
The gains are very noticeable, from 2,000 RPM to 6,000 RPM the car pulls with more strength does not let up.
Its one thing to get the chip, then when you add the fuel pump its a whole new feeling.
How many others agree with me ?
How many are running different pumps?

2+ is no cat
Who said anything about a cat? And it can be either test pipe or high flow cat paired with a Hpfp = 2+

APR fuel pump/tune is definitely my next mod - got any dyno's with your crank and/or wheel hp/tq? 93 octane. 240+25+10 (testpiper & catback?) - 275ish hp at the crank?

I am currently at Stage 2+
APR Pump / 034 HFC / APR 93 oct 2+ file / AFE air filter. I believe it is a great mod but the ratio cost/improvment is not like the initial Stage 1 or adding a HFC to be Stage 2+.
In the end I am happy with it since it is required for a Stage 3 anyway...
For the feeling I do agree that it pulls harder in the low-mid end and completly remove the little down of power I was experiencing at 5200 RPM. In other words the car feel more linear from 4k to 6.5k than it was before the HPFP and greatly improved low-mid end torque.

i love my HPFP and i am pretty sure that APR states their numbers at 285CHP and 325CTQ. they aren't posted on the website, but i have a pamphlet from APR with all their numbers listed.

So I was testing my car out today on the HWY and was really feeling the car out I never have one bit of hesitation, the car responds to how I ask it to drive and regardless of the AWD system that puts a little to much in the front ... yeah the car is really feeling like its coming around in the right direction... I Let my boss drive my car today and had an awesome response he has a BMW 335I and he sati that he like the way the car responds more than his, he was actually impressed (he never is)... I have had a lot of high HP cars before and am feeling that I really want a STG-3 again (what happened to STG 3+?) like every VW I have owned but I will have to put that money in to the MK2 GTI that I own ... completely mint .... mmhmmmm

I doubt that a A4 with just Stage 2+ map / HFC or test pipe and APR Pump get around 285chp. More like 270chp.
If you have HFC + complete exhaust with downpipe and IC you are probably around 280chp then.
The HPFP only gives around 10 more peak HP but the gains are highier in the low-mid RPM range.
The feeling of Stage 2+ is great but in the end the car still feel faster than it really is because of all the torque in lower RPM.

I dynoed 251 AWHP with my stage 2+ setup, on a mustang dyno. It was a very cold day in Louisvill, KY and I had everything APR offered minus an upgraded turbo and injectors.
So you guys do the math from WHP to CHP!

Just stage 1 is 252chp iirc so 2+ should easily be 285chp ish

According to this, at 251 AWHP converts to about 321 CHP. Sounds pretty sexy to me.

Wow impressive numbers, I did not know the K03 could push that much power. Could you post a Dyno sheet of that run? If not do you remember at what RPM you got your peak HP.
What I do not understand is how close you seem to be with the APR K04 rated at 320 CHP. I am sure you are building all that power in the MID RPM and that a K04 will have greater "Racing" advantage because the HP will be a little highier in the RPM but still.
Maybe sometime I feel my car is still slow because of heat next summer for sure I will get a IC and might also upgrade to K04 as well.

still debating on buying the fuel pump or not.... I can not justify if $800 is worth roughly 25 crank hp....

25 hp is 25 hp - not really a bad deal for the money - can always wait for them to go back on sale, seems like every other month they put it on sale... anyways question - K04 - what audis come stock with the k04? Also, switchin from the k03 to k04 - ive seen the diy and it doesn't appear that difficult - am i missing something? Why don't more people do this?

S3 ain't in the US.... S3 really the only audi with a k04? any other audis have anything larger than a k03? Figure I call couple salvage yards and see what theyd want - tell em I'd come take it out myself, etc etc...

I have an APR fuel pump and with the unitronic stage 1+ file you felt a significant difference. The care pulls way more. I recently got my full 3' turbo exhaust, dp, to 4" tips and reflashed the ecu so now im Stage 2+. Sadly i dont have the car with me its in my garage at home but it sounds great and my friend drove it and said it responds much quicker and pulls hard. So i can believe it could be in the 230-250whp range IMHO.

Audi TTS came also with a K04 otherwise new you should expect around 1300$. Expect to have modification / custom work to do but should not be that bad. Try to find the thread I started regarding K04 build, it is not completed yet but let say that 90% of the info/part numbers to do the swap it there.
