Hi,

I've been struggling on what decent TORX tool to buy for this kind of job on my car (A4 2.0T 2007). I'm sure Snap On's are good, but it might be an overkill for what I'm doing for my car. I won't be using these tools than the list below. If you all think that snap-on's are really the way to go, let me know too. I've looked at Listle, Craftsman, ECS Tuning kit (Schwaben).

Bumper removal
Intake Flap Motor Replacement
Timing belt / water pump replacement
Cam Follower Replacement

Thanks!

save yourself some money and just get the craftsman. you can always run by sears and swap anything out if it fails. Besides, for as little as these will be used save the money and put it elsewhere

i have craftsman for the bigger torx and a set of very tiny torx drivers i found at ace hardware for 2 dollars when i did my boost gauge....both sets have never failed me, however the 2 dollar drivers (it was a set of 4!! couldn't resist!) look god awful

All answers provided are correct but you will need a specific long Torx to remove the bumper, at list 6 Inch long. I know it can be done with a long flat screwdriver but you will not be able to torque the screw back to specs. PM me, I have a spare one

^^ Agreed, unless you've got money to blow you don't need Snapon tools, but if you want a step up from Sears/Craftsman you might want to look at SK Tools or MAC tools.

Mactool still expensive!!

SK should be the best way, but did they have lifetime warranty?!?!

Here in Canada we have Canadian tire, the Mastercraft Maximum series (aka professional) is the best bang for the buck and they have a lifetime warranty. So if you have such hardware/tool store go with this.

Just go for a inexpensive kit that have all the bit you need and have lifetime warranty
