So I got my first mod
I went to 034 Motorsport and got the Unitronic Flash done. It has a 30 day money back guarantee so I will see if its really worth it. I guess I can feel it but really I only picked up the car last week, so didn't really get a chance to feel the engine in that time frame.
Sales brotha suggested the 034 hi-flow cat, does anyone have one and can let me know if they think it's a good mod? I am just worried about when I have to smog. My old CQ was always nail biting, after the stuff I had on it.
Also I got the HRSprings and the Front perches that were suggested to me on my first post, Those go on Next Wednesday..
Any other simple go faster suggestions would be appreciated.
Oh yeah the Audizine A4 was there getting something done..nice clean ride.
They had a bunch of B5's around the lot.

No a Test pipe makes it loud. HFC is nothing

Please keep us posted on the upgrades as you go along. Your answering a lot of questions I have.
I have a B7 S-Line 2.0T and want to do a stage 1 upgrade (Ecu,Airbox and exhaust). Now that our cars have been around a bit, I'd love to hear from the folks who have had them on a while. Who's stg 1 kit did you buy?

I currently have a stage 1 ((soon to be 2)) chip from APR. A carbonio intake. My exhaust is a stasis cat back, labree down pipe, 034 Hfc. Along with a 034 intake tube. It's a quick car but nothing that will blow doors off everything on the streets. It's good for around town.

the hfc will make your car louder then stock, the biggest thing you will notice is the additional torque between 2800-3800rpms you will really feel the car come alive.

if your nervous about your smog test keep your stock cat and swap it back before you get the service done....the install should only be 1 hours labor by your favorite shop

i also have unitronics and if the sales guy at 034 didn't mention it, this is an adaptive system, and you need to wake it up for it to perform best....as if you were granny driving it for the day and then mashed it WOT you may see boost levels at 14-15 but if your driving agressive all day and mash it WOT you may be boosting at 16-17 (im making these numbers up, im stage 2 with bolt ons now and its been a while since ive been stage 1) but you see what im saying, it reacts directly with how you drive.

Thanks Mr. S for the input,

Yeah i'm not trying to be Racer Rick with my car, Just want to it to get dialed in pretty quick without sacrificing luxsport of the car.
034 is doing the springs for me (4 hours labor for springs) said it would be 2 hours labor for the cat. I would like an exhaust but I have auto and seems confusing on finding one.

you can also instead of driving like a maniac to wake your car up, you can perform a throttle reset by searching this forum for it, its a procedure that takes about a minute and does the same thing
