Metallic Trim and Black Rings?

I want to black part of my grille out but am still debating as to what to black out. I don't want to be completely black I want the nice contrast of the metallic there. Instead of blacking the trim and the inside of the grill out, I think I want to keep the trim metallic and black out the entire inside. However, looking on these forums and around the internet I haven't been able to find a picture of this. Anybody have one or have any suggestions about this idea?
