About 2,000 miles ago I installed new front rotors and pads. Ever since then, on ocassion when I step on the brakes, I get this clanking noise from the front brakes. It sounds as if the pads are moving closer to the rotor...they just sound as if they're moving in a certain direction. Might I add, this tends to happen whenever I back up, and then go forward again. This is pretty much the only time i can guarantee I"ll hear the noise; changing the cars direction from forwards to reverse or reverse to forwards.
