guys what can i get for $513? this amount is after the deductions i have to pay the MA state for $63 and $250 for the NH winter driving school. it seems i cant get much for $513 because to buy performance mod i cant do it myself will have to include labor, and that leaves pretty much nothing.

test pipe or HFC - you can buy this & pay for install and have some $$ left over. This install isnt hard either, there is a DIY.

catch can - BSH stgII kit is around $200 in change, RS4 RSB

cosmetic stuff - HIDs, replace other misc bulbs with LEDs, cupra lip, Sline grille (if you dont have it already)

Pick up a VAGCOM, youll need it sooner than later & youll have $$ left over

& what exactly is this NH driving school? is it your fault you have to go haha -

def chip it if you havent yet... it is usually right around $500, APR or REVO. It is a night and day difference from stock ( ou would probably want to look into a DV as well though)

RS4 rear sway bars are about $125 or so and are pretty easy to install. (one of the biggest bangs for your buck mods)

HFC (High Flow Cat) are about $300

i dont see in your sign where it says your chipped.....if not....that should be #1, really makes the car fun to drive all over again

if chipped, go for the catch can since you live in boston and it gets cold there so you can really benefit by not having all that gunk that seems to really accumulate in the colder periods in your engine

or sway bar, really blew me away with how much tighter the car felt around the corners

or vmaxx coils, you wont be able to install them unless you do it yourself but you could get low

or hfc, the torque is very nice to feel when you get on the gas

or podi dual gauge, nice to see if your making or losing boost

or snow tires, so you dont wreck yourself and your nice car

or interior stuff, sound systems, auto car starter, valentine 1 radar detector (so you dont have to go back to driving school :-P)

or CAI

you seem to have a few options....have fun

whats BSH stg II? VAGCOM is a good idea, will look to see if i can get RS4 sways with this. HFC is good too oh man you are killing me.

the NH winter driving school is like the Audi Experience event. its shows you how to manage your quattro in the snow. which i am excited looking forward to this, as i have no experience on any thing like that before. heck i didnt even know how to do donuts till last few weeks ago a audizine member told me how to do it.

That's a good thing. Means you got to earn interest off of the Government's money instead of the other way around. Assuming you keep your cash in interest-bearing accounts.

OP: Put it aside for future repairs.

If that's the ONLY extra cash you have lying around (which tends to be the case when someone asks "what can I get for $xxx.xx") I vote you hang onto it for emergencies/unexpected expenses. I'll hazard a guess and say you're on mom and dad's payroll (nothing wrong with that BTW, been there, done that) and that you're probably still in school? 500 bones can go a looooong way if you need it to. Plus, speeding/parking tickets, maintenance, etc. All that shit can add up fast. Of course if it's just one of those "the gov'ts giving me money so I'm gonna blow it" scenarios, disregard everything I just said and chip that hoe.

the catch can is a device that catches any oils, waters, or anything that otherwise would go right into your engine and get burnt. now since our cars are directly injected we have an issue with carbon building up on our valves, the catch can system eliminates this aspect (or lowers it considerably) by keeping all the junk in the can and not in your engine.....this issue is more prevelant in the winter and when it gets cold and since you live in boston where i hear it gets wicked cold (:-P) the catch can is a good option for you search the forum for more info about it but imo you should get a chip first

28,941.77/25% (a rough guess of federal taxes) = $115,767 would be taxable income given that he at least has a single person deduction of about 6000 brings him around 121,000 for annual income.....obviously these numbers are completely wrong but its a rough idea

good for you, im sure you've worked hard to get where you are and its paid off. im on my way myself towards becoming a CPA and am starting to realize the massively lucrative light at the end of the tunnel

^in witholdings?

it all depends (for people who are not independant contractors) what you select and how much you decide the governemtn should withold from each paycheck....some people, finance people, prefer to owe money at the end of the year bc the money they get in a refund is wasted oppurtunities to invest that cash (seeing as how the refund is moneys that you already paid the government just you paid them too much and are giving you back what is overpayed)....that money earns no interest meanwhile you could select a different withholding option and keep a reminder that you are going to owe the government but take that money during the year and invest it

I usually end up getting about $5k back every year. I'd say that's not a bad estimate. I've owed a few times, it all depends on my 1099's.

I just got mine done! Finally I got to file independently and under my undergraduate program I was able o qualify for the bs 1k tax credit for education back. Parts to buy :). Refunded over 2k, alas I would rather see the federal reserve have a bigger program towards reducing the national debt, a huge issue left unchecked. Let's keep spending monies this nation no longer has towards a out of control debt left unchecked. :( Bernanke please address some issues that are running us slowly into the ground.
