maybe theres metal from the 1st pump in the lines. or they didnt bleed the system right and allowing fluid cavatation to happen.

Discuss?
This is a discussion board. Everything is discussed.
Ask a freaking question.
EDIT: "discuss" threads are lame. No one wants to discuss things for your pleasure, which is what the directive "discuss" implies.

How long do you hold the steering at full lock when doing donuts?

Do you often turn your wheel to full lock? This wears heavily on the pump.

so how much do these PS pumps go for again? at this point, you should DEF replace all the associated hoses & after that, id keep a close on your PS fluid level
edit - I looked up the price myself ..& Being that a shop is replacing your pumps, what did they tell you happened to the first one & the second on & so on. You should also check the Steering Reservoir for cracks.

This is more of the input that I was looking for, The first time It was because I was having fun in the snow for the first time when I bought the car (My Fault) Then the second time I was doing about 50 or 60 going down the highway in the snow holding the car sideways, Or dog tracking if you understand that, and the pump made no nosier or anything and everything when stiff. The third time was this time there was a pin hole in a hose.
First time was a pump with 3 or 4 flushes of fluid
Second time was Pump and Rack, and replacing all the lines
Third time was just pulling it all apart flushing the system and reassembling, they ended up not putting a new pump on and we will see hole it goes
All in all I think I have spent around 4,300$ on my power steering about 652$ on plastic under the car from the winter, 1,854$ Apikol poly mount for the rear diff, APR a snub mount, APR with all programs, APR fuel pump.
Total: $6806.00
I’m now looking for AWE QUAD TIP, PSS9 coilovers
