Saturday Event: Track Event at MSR Cresson $100.00 45 max cars then
an afternoon rally to Dublin for a tour of the Dr.Pepper factory!
Saturday Evening Event: Dinner at Hard 8's in Stephensville

We are expecting the fine group from TAG and STAG to find their way up North. We have extended an invitation to all Audi Club NA ( 500+ ) as well as clients, family members, and friends.

The only limitations I know of are for the track event itself ( 45 cars ) and maybe the hotel, but even then there are many hotels, B+B's, in and close to Granbury.

Combined Update for 2011 Texas Audi State Meet

Dates: Feb 25-27, 2011

Hotel / Base: Hilton Garden Inn , Granbury, Texas
Friday Event: Meet and Greet at the Hilton from 4pm-8pm
Saturday Events: Track Event at MSR Cresson 8am-12pm
Afternoon rally to Dublin for a tour of the Dr.Pepper factory! 2pm-5pm
Saturday Evening Event: Dinner at Hard 8's in Stephenville 6pm-8pm
Sunday Event: Sleep In! Then lunch at Babe's Chicken in Granbury Texas 11am-1pm
Guest: ACNA, TAG, STAG, and NTAG members as well as invited Vendors from around Texas...
Audi owners from around Texas will converge on the DFW Metroplex for the annual Audi State Meet February 25th, 2011. We will meet at the Hilton Garden Inn overlooking Lake Granbury Friday night to sign in, get event packets, T-Shirts and more. Saturday morning we will head out to Motorsports Ranch in Cresson for a morning of learning and honing our driving skills with Apex Driving Academy. For those that choose to sleep in , they can explore downtown Granbury stores, breakfast café , just relax!
After an open lunch, we will gather for a 2 hour drive from Granbury headed to Dublin for a tour of the original Dubin Dr. Pepper Factory. We have multiple tours scheduled so we can see the inner workings of where Dr.Pepper came from and how it gets into the bottle. The tour end will be capped off by a cold Dr.Pepper right off the assembly line!
For dinner, we will leave Dublin and head to Stephenville to hard 8’s BBQ! Hard 8’s is an open pit BBQ store where you walk up and point out what and how much you want of each item. Then go inside and chose your side items like fresh cut fries, okra, corn on the cob, pecan pie and more! Hard 8’s is B.Y.O.B and actually serves free beer to all paying customers.
We will take a short drive after dinner back to Granbury for an informal after hours get together inside the hotel or if weather permits on the boardwalk overlooking the lake.
Since this IS a vacation of sorts , Sunday morning will be for sleeping in! We have contacted our friends across the street at Babe’s Chicken that we will join them for some Texas style comfort food! As you might guess, Babe’s is famous for their Fried Chicken, Chicken strips, chicken fried steaks, pot roast, cat fish, and family style sides like mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, and those fresh cooked biscuits (and honey ) !
This weekend will end with a lot of new friends, an appreciation for your Audi, and many memories for years to come!

Etc: Limited to 45 cars so please sign up soon as this is a State Wide Meet and I know we have at least 45 Audi drivers that'll want to show what they got!

NOTE: This event is limited to Audi vehicles only. IF there are spaces left open as we get near the State Meet, I will pick and chose who fills those spots.

We will have 3 different groups
1. Beginners, those that have never been on a track before
2. Intermediate, those that have been on the track or play alot of PS3 or X-Box
3. Advanced, those that have alot of track time, are track rats, and have been approved by S4N

The track portion of the event will start early, Saturday morning, 8am-ish. We are planning on having at least 3 20 minute sessions, maybe more if things go well.. as we have to be out by 1:30p

I bought an S4 about 3 weeks ago, and just found out about the meet.

Couple of questions.
1. MotorSport Ranch event: If I wanted to participate in group 1, do I still need to fill out the Tech Sheet? Do I need a Fire Extinguisher? Can I fill the sheet out myself?

2. I am not sure if I can get there Friday night, if I come Saturday, what time is everyone leaving for the MotorSport Ranch event?

3. If I don’t participate in the MotorSport Event, is there an area to watch and listen?

I'm heading over to DFW tomorrow or Wednesday in my A6 avant, but the allroad is currently in Fort Worth being worked on. I hope to have both of them there if the allroad is finished before Friday!
