So the other day when I turned off my car I heard a noise so I pop my trunk and see that oil is leaking out of my engine on to my cat, my buddy looked at it and said it was a broken camshaft seal, I was just wondering how much would it be to get this repaired if I payed a shop to do it, and to get the timing belt and water pump redone.

could be your chain tensioner gasket or vc...
both couple hours labor,
200 for chain tensioner(good time to change)
10 for the gasket
25 for vc gasket set.

if youre right
3 for seal
2-3 hours labor

If it is leaking onto the cat, it isn't a cam seal. It is more probably the cam chain adjuster gasket and semi-circle plug. Perhaps with help from the valve cover gasket. I'd say 2-3 hours of labor for that stuff and 4-5 hours or so for the t-belt. For the leaks it's about $40-50 in parts, for the t-belt/pump about $250-300 in parts.

So, probably around $700-$1200. Also, this is why people DIY stuff. Crap can get expensive quick.
