View Full Version : Two stock ecu - different timing pull

I have two stock ECU one is 557N and the other is 557P (forgot which is which). One ecu pulls more timing than the other, more than 5 degrees. Why is that?

The ecu that doesn't pull timing as much, "feels" a whole lot faster.

Any explanation for this? When did Audi switch knock sensors (vdo vs bosch)? Does washers really work to reduce knock sensitivity? I like to use the ecu that pulls more timing because it doesn't have a rev-limiter for some reason (got it used for backup), and just use FIC for rev-limit.
